Project: "Real-Time Reels" The Visa & Chase Super Bowl Clubhouse
Situation: During Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, global brands Visa and Chase collaborated on a major activation: "The Visa Small Business Clubhouse." Set within a massive 700,000-square-foot public fan festival, the goal was to spotlight local entrepreneurs by creating content of them interacting with NFL superstars. The production company, Media.Monks, was tasked with producing this activation in a loud, unpredictable, and crowded live environment.
Task: Monks engaged me as the dedicated Content Creator (Videographer & Editor) responsible for capturing these unique interactions. My mission was to produce three distinct, high-energy Instagram Reels featuring athletes Bijan Robinson, Jayden Daniels, and Victor Cruz. The challenge was immense: I had only a 30-minute window with each athlete and had to deliver all three edited videos for near real-time publishing to capitalize on the Super Bowl buzz, leaving absolutely zero room for error.
Action: I developed and executed a "social-native" production strategy designed for speed, quality, and the challenging environment. My key actions included:
Strategic Capture: I shot vertically on the iPhone 16 Pro in 4K at 30fps. This decision optimized the framing for Instagram Reels from the moment of capture and allowed me to remain agile and unobtrusive amidst the crowds.
Solving for Noise and Light: To isolate clear dialogue from the roar of thousands of fans, I engineered a dual-audio setup using a mix of lavalier and boom microphones. I balanced the harsh house lights and created a clean, bright look using portable LED light banks.
Efficient On-Set Direction: Within each compressed 30-minute session, I efficiently directed the capture to ensure we secured all the necessary shots, focusing on the fun, authentic moments between the athletes and business owners.
Accelerated Post-Production: I immediately transitioned from shooting to editing, completing all three video series within a demanding 24-hour turnaround to ensure timely client reviews and publication.
Result: The result was a series of three dynamic, professionally polished Instagram Reels delivered on schedule under extreme pressure. The content successfully cut through the noise of the Super Bowl, authentically capturing the live event's energy while fulfilling the core brand objective of celebrating small business owners. My agile workflow proved that high-quality, compelling content can be created and deployed in the most demanding live environments, turning significant logistical constraints into a successful real-time social media story for Visa and Chase.
